B'len stood still as K'ian took the charm. He stared at for a few minutes and then quietly laid down and bid B'len good night. B'len sighed and realized he'd been holding his breath for the last minute or two. Thank God K'ian wasn't going to do anything stupi or crazy. Obviously the kid wasn't in his right mind at the moment, grief did that to a person, but that didn't mean that B'len wanted to have to handle it if K'ian exploded on him.

K'ian didn't have much say in being shoved roughly down the halls to his room. He was in no position to be fighting it. Another tiff on his part and he'd have fallen.. and B'Len would've just gotten annoyed. It was like a complete relapse! He'd been so warm to him and then suddenly it was like he didn't care! Even if he said he wanted to look after him and that he did care, K'ian just... couldn't believe him.. in his hour of need, B'Len was barking...

B'len did not succeed in fighting the urge to roll his eyes. Gawd adolescences! They were so easily offended and hurt, and emotionally out of control. Why he got stuck teaching them.... And though K'ian certainly wasn't in his right mind, B'len wasn't sure how the boy could ever come to the conclusion that wether or not B'len wanted him or any of the other weyrlings around, he would be able to just walk away from them. After they'd left the hall K'ian shifted and tore himself away from the other, just looking up at him. B'len was very surpsied to see K'ian actually manage to stand. Of course he was in shock, so following orders just came naturally to his brain. That helped quite a bit... but then B'len hadn't actually said antying after "stand" and as soon as K'ian recognized him he through his arms around B'len and began to sob into his shirt. B'len winced a little as K'ian squeezed on some of this thread wounds. He still managed to grab the boy before his week...

T'Narus took a seat and just sat there.. what was he doing? .. he had no idea how to run a Weyr and yet... he felt very strongly.. that he had to protect it and his position. He was the leader.. he had to control himself but.. he and B'Len had made the sacrifice and anyone questioning that would hardly be allowed to skate by.. now he had to just think of their next course of action... he stood suddenly and walked out, straight to the library to plan.

B'len stood in anger at T'narus' explosion. Certainly Z'dyn was out of line, but so too was t'narus. B'lens fury threatened to boil over throughout the exchange. T'Narus had moved the tables out of the way, making sure they'd have room for everyone. He already had the drudges making k'lah for everyone.. they'd need something when they heard the news. He left one there to stand on, so everyone could see.. he was pretty tall anyway, so that certainly helped as well.
