This means seven Holds are missing.

Some things you should know about watchwhers that was first published in DragonKin:


Ordinary watchwhers DO have the ability to go between. (They still apparently can't flame however; they eat Thread like sea creatures.)

They also have maternal instinct (golds do, anyway) and bond with their tamers, though it is completely emotional in nature.
